1940 - Today
Four years after its founding Riekes added Yale skid handlers and electric lift trucks to its line of products. Feeding on the post war boom the energetic young companies built a relationship that has only strengthened. Don Chance in his role as regional and then area manager provided Riekes its first taste of vendor leadership, including the first marketing plan crafted with Duncan Murphy for 1985. With the addition of Hyster, NMHG was formed and became prepared for the emerging faster-better-cheaper marketplace. Colin Wilson joined NMHG leadership and came to the US with his first dealer visit to Riekes. This enduring partnership can take great pride in a long lasting ever growing legacy of excellence now and into the future.
