Forklift Training
Riekes Equipment's forklift training courses consist of two parts. First, is the classroom session. Students will watch a video on the proper ways to inspect, operate and prevent accidents. There will be discussions throughout class to insure each student has a thorough understanding of the forklift equipement. At the end of class students will be required to take a short test over the materials learned.
The second part of Riekes Equipment's forklift training is the performance session. After class, everyone will go to the warehouse and drive the lifts. Before mounting the forklift, the instructor will review the operator manual, discuss the capacity plate and proper safety equipment on the lift. After the review, he will go through the Daily Truck Inspection Procedure. Each student will then repeat the Procedure to insure future safety. The student will then drive a course, the instructor has set up, to test their manuverablity doing day-to-day tasks. The instructor will then review the good things each student did and provide tips to improve on other areas.
